Dual Tone - Duo

Dual Tone is not a marking, but a modifier. This usually applies gradients to markings unless it is stated in each individual marking it doesn't affect that specific marking. If you have no markings except Dual Tone, you can apply a very minimal gradient to free marking or make your Mythikan's coat colours appear to have a gradient to it.

Providing Dual Tone is in your pups genetics, you can apply gradients to any and all markings, however you would still need to stick to any restrictions or allowances each marking has for Dual Tone. If the marking does not state a 'rule', then you can use the gradient to how you want.

Examples

Dual Tone and Ridgeback Build

With Ridgeback builds, you can make any of the fur area which ridgeback area has additional fur, spines, etc. to be various shades. If an admin puts your ridgeback onto a Standard Build and your Multi-toned effect goes into the body of the Standard build, you will be requested to make these amendments. Below are some examples of what you can do.

No Markings and Mutations

If your Mythikan has any Mutations (Inbred Mutations or Random Mutations) without any other markings being present in the genetics, you will not be able to use Dual Tone at all on them. Not even on the Free Marking. There should be absolutely no gradients on your Mutated Mythikans which only contain Dual Tone.
