Crystal works different based on what kind of build and species type you have.
If you do not know what your species type is, you can find it in the species information.
There are 4 different types which you must go with based on your Mythikan and build.
If you have a species with Sphynx marking, you can select either the spynx marking style or the species tye marking style.
You will require Spectral on any of the marking styles below if you want to colours which range out of your base coat colour range.
The markings need to be brighter than the base coat and any marking you have on your Mythikan already.
Sphynx Marking Style
Texture:

Colouration and interactions with other markings:
Only on Sphynx builds can you create tear drop like markings over the body that follows the pattern of muscles. Which you can also link together so they look like petals as well.
This needs to be layers of various brighter colours than the base coat or any other with a white border around the marking.
Dual Tone and Reversal does NOT affect Sphynx builds' marking style at all.
Terrestial Species Marking Style
Texture:

Colouration and interactions with other markings:
For Terrestial Species, this would create a 'rift; like marking that stretches from after thier head down along the body and stretch down through the tail. This will NEVER appear on the head, legs or feet. This would be one solid line along the body.
Dual Tone can affect the marking, but Reversal has no affect at all.
Aerial Species Marking Style
Texture:

Colouration and interactions with other markings:
For Areial Mythikans, Crystal will only be found on thier wings and creates markings like you can find on butterflies with a black outline.
Reversal can turn ther black outline to white, but does not affect the crystal segments colours.
Dual Tone can make the crystal segaments become gradient, however you can not pick and choose which ones to gradient. It must be all or nothing.
Aquatic Species Marking Style
Texture:

Colouration and interactions with other markings:
For creatures who are Aquatic, it creates little 'c' or 'v' like markings over the body to imitate fish scales. This does not have an outlike around the little markings.
You do not need to make the marking in one area, this can be broken up to appear in random areas on the body.
Reversal does NOT affect this marking style.
Dual Tone will only create a gradient that will affect all the little markings, you can not pick and choose which ones you make as a gradient.
